It's about connecting. Battle Buddies got us through the military, and they're getting us through the craziness of civilian life, too.

WVE-Detroit Reception

Reception - overview

Our theme for the evening of Friday, Sept 9, is, "Hardcore Wholesome." Here's our challenge: proving that military women can have a crazy, fun time with each other in a way that is PG rated (okay... let's aim for PG-13). With this in mind, we're crafting an evening that will improve your mood, encourage healthy habits, and deepen your relationships.

It all starts at 5:00 p.m. with an icebreaker. Then, we're dividing into groups of 16 for competitive scavenger hunt. We're doing it on a group pedal car... in Downtown Detroit... on a Friday night... the week before the Auto Show! Just like in the military, this is a complex operation. And, if we do it right, we will be creating positive, wholesome memories that our brains will forever connect with our time in service. Out of respect for encouraging healthy habits, this event is nonalcoholic.

Reception - what to bring

Dress in weather-appropriate attire. WVS is providing nonalcoholic beverages. You may relax during the event, and do not need to pedal the entire time.

Reception - where to park

See parking recommendations on the "Logistics" graphic below. Parking fees and availability vary: ARRIVE EARLY to allow ample time for walking to Bookies.
