The Unique Needs of Military Women

WHICH OF THESE CHALLENGES ARE YOU FACING?
  • Being looked over, despite your wearing of the uniform
  • Support options that aren't being led by military women
  • Programs that time suck or pressure you into volunteering
  • The nagging belief that you don't fit in
  • Feeling angry, sad, alone, or stuck in life
  • Making friends with women that get you

It's time to take care of YOU! These six issues are keeping many of us from experiencing healthy friendships and internal peace. At no cost to you, Woman Veteran Strong will guide you through the process of taking your power back. Because women should never have to sacrifice joy for strength.

The Cookie-cutter Approach to Women's Wellness Doesn't Typically Work For Military Women

Your life is a series of experiences that others can only imagine (and they'll probably get it wrong). At Woman Veteran Strong, we create small group coaching sessions that focus on the beliefs and behaviors of women wearing the uniform. Since 2019, we've been raising the standard of care for military women. We do this by continuously earning the trust of our members, and by earning the trust of the community organizations that serve them.

We Believe in Collaboration Over Competition.

“This is exactly what I was looking for. The ladies in this group make me want to be better.”

Teena Cathey

Service Member, U.S. Air National Guard | Woman Veteran Strong Group Leader, Macomb

“Woman Veteran Strong is the perfect solution. Our local community mental health agency offers a peer support group for male Veterans only. Woman Veteran Strong supplements their offerings and provides the women's group. Together, we're providing comprehensive mental health care to all our Veterans.”

Laverne Santangelo

LPC, Oakland County Group Leader, Veteran, U.S. Army

“I absolutely love this community and my sisters. You are a dependable source.”

WVS Member

Combat Veteran, U.S. Army

“I actually look forward to our weekly leadership meetings. As group leaders, we hold each other accountable and problem solve complicated issues related to both the women we serve and the Veteran care landscape. Woman Veteran Strong gives me not only professional guidance, but the peer support I need as a woman Veteran myself.”

Michele Pascoe

LBSW, Calhoun County Veteran Navigator, Veteran, U.S. Navy

Being a Part of Woman Veteran Strong is EASY!

1) Apply to be a member

In five-minutes or less, you'll answer simple questions about your life and military background. We will review your application to get to know you better, and make sure that you're a good fit for group coaching.

2) Meet your WVS Certified Coach

Once your application is approved, we'll assign you to a small group and introduce you to your WVS Certified Coach. Making friends is much easier if you have a Battle Buddy. In step two, we will put you in touch with her.

3) Engage with fellow military women

In only six months your efforts will be transformed. You will move from isolation and frustration to feeling loved and welcomed. Engaging in a small group will enhance your confidence. And you will feel more joy.

We accept ALL military service statuses (Active / Guard / Reserve / Veteran / Discharged) as well as ALL discharge types.

It's Hard To Know Who You Can Count On. Military Women Don't Have to Live Life Alone.

Having healthy female friendships is hard. You need to find a person or group that you might fit in with, muster up the courage to introduce yourself, hope that you aren't rejected, find things you might have in common, and finally carve out time in your schedule to foster the relationship. Very few military women have the patience (or desire) to subject themselves to this frustrating process, and that's why most fall short of having the meaningful relationships they need to truly enjoy life. Become a Woman Veteran Strong member today and let's get started rebuilding the sense of camaraderie all military people understand. To take the first step, simply click below.

We can't wait to meet you!
